Tuya Cliente seguro

The problem

Through in-depth research and analysis, we have identified significant issues concerning user security and authentication in Tuya's app. Users often struggle with a complex and non-intuitive dynamic key activation process, leading to a poor user experience and potential security risks.

The challenge

The challenge lies in undertaking a comprehensive redesign and implementation of the dynamic key process in Tuya's app. The end goal is to enhance user security and ensure an intuitive, seamless experience during user authentication. We are committed to optimizing this process to cater to Tuya's diverse user base effectively.

The Discovery

We will initiate the project with a discovery phase, conducting in-depth workshops with stakeholders, technical teams, and end-users. These workshops will help us understand existing pain points, user expectations, and key objectives for the new dynamic key design and implementation.

We will develop user personas to simulate the different types of users that engage with Tuya's app. These personas will guide our design decisions, helping us ensure that the new dynamic key process caters to each user's needs and expectations.

Persona

Pain point

Through user interviews and data analysis, we will identify and document key pain points in the current dynamic key process. This information will guide us in developing solutions tailored to address these pain points.

Co-creation

By adopting a co-creation approach, we will collaborate with users, stakeholders, and technical teams in the ideation and design process. This will ensure that the new dynamic key process aligns with user needs and expectations, business objectives, and technical feasibility.

The solution

Our solution is a phased redesign and implementation of the dynamic key process:

Phase 1:

Prioritize dynamic key activation, including implementation in both the old and new app design. Define specific cases and their corresponding user-facing messages.

Phase 3:

Implement a key manager allowing for different configurations on the dynamic key (register more than one, block, activate, or delete - to be defined). Expand capabilities to enable purchases or payments on other platforms.

Phase 2:

Evolve the dynamic key to be consistently visible to the user (random code), ensure user autonomy in activation, improve clarity in user responses during potential failures, and use the dynamic key as an identity validation.

The how

We will conduct user testing and gather feedback at each phase of the process, making iterative adjustments based on the analysis. By tracking metrics throughout the process, we can assess the effectiveness of our solution and make informed decisions for continuous improvement.

By following this methodology, we aim to transform the dynamic key process in Tuya's app into a highly secure, user-friendly feature, leading to increased user satisfaction and enhanced security.
